Sometimes, innovation is difficult to grasp until you see it for yourself.
From robo-saints and DOGE meme avatars, several NFT projects are pushing the boundaries of art, creativity, and technology — and once you see what digital assets can do, it’s hard to suppress excitement about
their future.
So we’ve spotlighted some of the best Web3 partners on NFT.com to demonstrate how NFT projects
create value for their communities. Dig deeper to learn about how some of the most notable NFT collections are saving strays in Africa, starting yacht parties in Miami, and more.
Saint Robotica
It’s all about the vision of
a grand design at Saint Robotica, the debut NFT project by artist
Samuel Ho working in collaboration with GENAI. The 3,773 NFT collection features hand-drawn robo-saints with stained glass backdrops, which, when placed together, form a larger art piece for the community to admire.
Ho, an acclaimed illustrator who has been featured in galleries across the world, drew inspiration from the historic Notre Dame Cathedral and the Mega Man video game — which may be the first time those two influences have ever shared a sentence.
How to get involved: Saint Robotica is painting the portrait of “a potential future where AI, in all its intellectual superiority, is worshipped as it protects humanity and improves the world,” as Ho describes his collection at the intersection of Technology and Faith, which can be seen here.
Unstoppable Domains
New NFT use cases emerge every day. Case in point: The Web3 domain name service Unstoppable Domains enables users to build and manage their own decentralized domain names on the blockchain. In essence, this brings us closer to unchangeable control of censorship-proof online domains. When combined, these elements also make a website far more memorable.
Unstoppable Domains lets users link their domain to their cryptocurrency wallet address, creating a seamless connection through which others can send them cryptocurrency. After all, no one wakes in an exuberant mood to recall and type in a long string of arbitrary letters and numbers.
This also lets users create decentralized websites hosted on an IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), which allows greater privacy, heightened security, and the freedom from centralized web hosting providers that Web3 is all about.
How to get your domain:
Head to your
favorite NFT marketplace and purchase one Unstoppable Domains NFT out of the 309,441 options already minted on the blockchain, including domains like “buyrentsell.crypto,” “teslacenter.crypto,” or “24hrnews.crypto,” among others. You can also purchase non-NFT domains
here.
DeadHeads
The
DeadHeads NFT project wants to breathe "new life" into the entertainment industry. This collection of 10,000 ghoulish 3D NFTs doubles as IP rights for characters in the popular DeadHeads YouTube series. Anyone who owns a DeadHeads NFT can stake their character in the
DeadHeads dApp and potentially see their NFT in an animated short or a feature film. After every show, people with a DeadTicket NFT get privileged access to the DeadHeads' "Green Room," which features ultra-exclusive NFTs from the prior episode. As a bonus, DeadHeads stakers receive $SHOW token rewards every day.
As the DeadHeads project evolves, Co-Founders Jeremy Jenson and teMpo continue to offer collectors utility for their NFTs. For example, DeadHeads holders had the chance to burn their original NFT and create an angelic "HaloHead" before season 2 airs. Collectors in the DeadHeads community also had first dibs on minting the spooky Skull Troopers NFTs after these villains emerged in
season 1, episode 3.
The DeadHeads collection has attracted massive partnerships in the art and entertainment industries. For example, NBA legend Meta World Peace and DJ Steve Aoki contributed to the DeadHeads series. Fans of NFT storytelling and animation will find a lot of "life" in the DeadHead community.
MoonCats
CryptoKitties and
Cool Cats are arguably the most famous NFT felines, but MoonCats are the true OGs in this cat-egory. Back in 2017, a few early Ethereum fans called "ponderware" launched the generative MoonCats NFT collection in a style reminiscent of
CryptoPunks. In the MoonCats lore, each of these 25,440 cats was chilling on the moon, but a group of Ethereans saved them from a disaster by bringing them to the blockchain.
Although interest in the original MoonCatRescue didn't survive the following crypto winter, NFT influencers discovered these colorful cats during the 2021 crypto bull run. Today, the MoonCatsCommunity supports a growing MoonCats NFT ecosystem.
The MoonCats is a historic NFT collection, but that doesn't mean they have zero utility. As mentioned above, the MoonCatCommunity is working hard on adding compelling use cases for people who "adopt" a MoonCat collectible. For example, the MoonCatCommunity introduced a
MoonCats Acclimator tool to help connect your furry friends to countless dApps in the Ethereum blockchain. MoonCats holders can also decorate metaverse properties on platforms like
isotile and
Worldwide Webb with their furry friends.
Note: The original MoonCatRescue website is still online, but it only serves as a "historical relic" for crypto fans. For the latest information on the MoonCats project and roadmap, be sure to visit
MoonCatCommunity page.
CryptoDads
Who said dads can't be degens? The
CryptoDads collection proves there's a lot of interest in NFTs that speak to an older and (hopefully) wiser demographic. Launched in 2021 on Ethereum, this 10K set of animated NFTs features a group of fathers with a wide array of quirky traits. People who hold CryptoDads NFTs get access to an exclusive Discord community with raffles, lively sports discussions, and plenty of dad jokes.
But what is a CryptoDad without a loving CryptoMom? The CryptoDads developers introduced a new collection of CryptoMom NFTs for every CryptoDad holder. Both CryptoDads and CryptoMoms enjoy access to the same private social media channels and a
special steaking (sic) portal.
People who stake their CryptoDad or CryptoMom NFT get to collect the $STEAK cryptocurrency as a reward. Collectors can use their $STEAK to purchase rare NFTs, enter contests, or customize their current NFTs with unique backgrounds and wearables. Plus, $STEAK tokens are eligible for IRL prizes, including gift cards, beer glasses, and BBQ sauces.
As the CryptoDad community grows, leaders are interested in expanding their offerings to interactive video games and big-brand partnerships. There's also news that CryptoDads and CryptoMoms may soon start breeding CryptoTots! Collectors can stay up-to-date on the CryptoDads project by following their socials.
SuperNormal
SuperNormal has assembled a world-class team of Web3 creatives and developers Among its many accomplishments? In March, SuperNormal partnered with The Sandbox to bring all of its “Zips” NFT characters
into the metaverse.
This is significant for NFT holders because SuperNormal continues to use art as a powerful medium for building relationships and creative expression between both the digital and physical worlds.
The Doge Pound
The rise of Dogecoin enshrined the power of meme culture once and for all, showing that when you get enough people passionate about, well, anything, it can become a force to be reckoned with. Doge Pound Studios is a gaming studio focused on developing Play-to-Earn (P2E) games and metaverse initiatives.
Its Doge Pound NFTs are set to play a critical role in its upcoming titles, from Manic Games and the Feeding Game to an open Metaverse. And the Doge Pound is also doing well in the tangible realm, constructing
a Doge Pound Shelter for hundreds of dogs on two acres of land at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
